Welcome to the Other Green Bagz blog!
We are a group of women who either sew or want to learn to sew. It is our intention to make quilts from recycled materials - business shirts, jeans or just about anything made from cotton that doesn't cost us anything! This means we will rely heavily on donated items.
Our first project is a quilt made from business shirts donated by my MiL. These shirts belonged to a her partner - an amazing man who recently passed away due to pancreatic cancer. We hope to donate this quilt to a group who can raffle it and raise funds to go towards pancreatic cancer awareness.
This week the ladies were taught the basics of Foundation Paper Piecing. More about this project later!
